Today I have working on my new CPU cooler. I need to modify my own design of holder for CPU cooler because of heatpipes.

And finally installed in my HTPC. It was more difficult then I expect.

On Thursday I bring my engine and transmission back home....

and separate the transmission from the engine.

On this picture is my transmission leaving my garage in the truck.

After approx. 7 hours of work was engine and transaxle removed.

After 2 hours of work with my buddy my car is looking like this .

 

I decide to remove engine and transmission because of transmission slipping, and make an general overhaul procedure.

Yesterday I got a Christmas gift from my girlfriend. CPU cooler Scythe Big Shuriken 2.

Because I can't use factory mounting bracket, I have designed my own.

This bracket will be cut out from 3mm thick stainless steel with laser beam.

My transmission starts slipping when I was going to the work Yesterday. When I was coming at home I have start working on the tranny immediately. I have removed oil pan and draining the oil.

The god damned oil have approx. 6000 miles, have brown color and smell burnt. Magnet and the bottom of the pan is covered with metal debris. Now I must make hard decision, repair the transmission by my self or send it to the repair shop. This decision comes a month after paying big amount of money for new body paint and three weeks before Christmas.

OK, Yesterday was nice. I was working on the front doors. I have begun with the drivers doors.

The first thing I have to do, was placed factory damping foil on its place using both sided tape.

The next step was glue factory damping material to inner side of the door panel with a glue gun

.....and put it to its place. In the future I will cover white places with flocking.
Now are the doors much heavier and almost bulletproof. I'm looking forward to hear the difference after hooking up my speakers.

Because of dark, I decide to work inside. But without enough space it's very frustrating for me. I need bigger garage for this kind of car.

In this condition stays this doors till Monday.

Last weekend was very successful. I have finished many goals on my endless to do list.
Because my car eats almost whole family budged, I have decided to recycling maximum of used materials.

On this picture are bitumen sheets glued on both sided tape used in my old front doors.....

and installed back in my left sliding doors.

Then was second soft foam layer applied.

And finally third layer from factory damping material.

On this image are left sliding doors finished.

After that I have applied soft foam layer on the drivers doors.

Third layer on both front doors are made from 2mm thick metal sheet with factory damping material glued together and kick bass pods made from MDF. On the lower half sealed with common bitumen tape.

Then I have added one additional layer off piping thermo isolating tape on front doors wiring harnesses. I hope this will help me to reduce rattling noises to minimum.

The third layer is secured on the front doors using aluminum rivets.  

Tuesday

At the morning I've started with adding both sided tape on factory damping foil for the right sliding door.

Here is original factory damping foil on its place.

Right sliding door finished. Looking like new :-)

On this picture is first dumping layer made from STP silver,  2mm thick bitumen foil with aluminum

After the lunch was added second layer, the same soft foam as on the right sliding doors.

Monday

Today I've been working on noise deadenning of right passenger sliding doors. I have used what left from my previous car. First layer was made from bitumen sheets.

The second layer is from 2cm thick soft foam.
